How To Import & Edit 5D Mark IV 4K Prores in Avid Media Composer

EOS 5D Mark IV is a very powerful camera that supports shooting up to 30 FPS DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) resolution video at speeds of 500 Mbps in MOV format.The 4K MOV files are encoded in Motion JPEG and are encoded with the same 4K compression method in EOS - 1D X Mark II and EOS - 1D C.The codec produces a separate JPEG image for video per frame.This is a very high quality document at 500 megabits per second.



I'm trying to import the 4K files from 5D Mark IV to Avid Media Composer to make a project, but my Avid MC 7 won't read the 4K files.

Convert Canon 5D Mark IV 4K footage for Editing in Avid Media Composer

Step 1. Run the 4K video converter program you just set up. You can hit "Add File" button to import the 4K video files from 5D Mark IV to the converter.
